New

Quickly life changes, things that are said
Made all the difference to us,
A few words spoken of love, or hate,
Destroyed every ounce of trust.

My new beginnings where not to be
With the man that I thought loved me,
A phone call altered the paths of our lives,
Once again I am lonely, but free.

Now I take a different route,
Alone, but no more with fear,
I’ll change my life for the better,
I’ve shed my last bitter tear.

Now I decide what to do with my life
Possibilities stretch before,
See the world that I’ve never seen,
Set foot on a brand new shore.

Expand my mind, explore myself,
Discover what it is that I need,
I know once the heartache is over and done
My spirit will take the lead.

As I travel along my path,
Encounters unique to review,
I’ll hold my head high, a smile on my face,
Enjoy my beginnings anew.

Joes Valley

This summer we went with my family to my step dad Jerry's cabin. It was in one word amazing! I FINALLY caught a fish....a big one too, I was pretty pleased. My favorite part of the trip was the atv ride I went on, I just got lost in the mountains and found a beautiful river,it was breathtaking. I loved just getting away from the city and the stress and life. I'm going to make a goal to go on more family trips :)

Wow it has been a Crazy weeekend

...I don't think I got more than 5 hours of sleep this weekend. My best friend Lysh needed me to make a cake for her grandpas 80th birthday that would feed 100. It took forever..we finally got to bed at 3:30 am Saturday morning (we started it Friday afternoon)and i had to wake up a 6:00 am to be down town for an 8 hour CPR for Health Care Professionals Class. Even though I was running on only 2 1/2 hours of sleep I really enjoyed the CPR class. I learned SO MUCH! I even was trained to use the defibrillator machine, It was really cool. When i finally got home that evening I had to prepare my lesions for my Sunbeams Class and do all my errands. Sunday was really fun because after church I decided to rip out my carpet in the front and dinning rooms, and found hard wood! So I spend all day Sunday Pulling up carpet, taking staples out of the wood, removing the tack strips and cleaning the wood, by the end of the day my hands were blistered and bleeding(they still hurt!)...but I got my floors done! I love to keep busy! so this was a really fun weekend for me.

I have been down lately so i'm going to make a list of things that make me feel good....

Laughing so hard your face hurts.

No lines at the supermarket
A special glance.

Hearing your favorite song on the radio.
Lying in bed listening to the rain outside.
Hot clothes fresh out of the dryer.
Finding the sweater you want is on sale for half price.
A Chocolate milkshake. (or vanilla!) (or strawberry)
A long distance phone call.
A bubble bath.
Giggling.
A good conversation.
The beach
Finding a 20 dollar bill in your coat from last winter.
Laughing at yourself.
Disney Movies
Midnight phone calls that last for hours.
Running through sprinklers.
Laughing for absolutely no reason at all.
knowing that no matter what happens everything will be ok.
Having someone tell you that you're beautiful.
knowing my heavenly father loves me.
Laughing at an inside joke.
Friends.
Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you.
Waking up and realizing you still have a few hours left to sleep...
The Presence of a friend when hopes are running low.
Making new friends or spending time with old ones.
Playing with a new puppy.
Having someone play with your hair.
Sweet dreams.
Swinging on swings.
Wrapping presents under the Christmas tree while eating cookies.
Song lyrics printed inside your new CD so you can sing along without feeling
stupid.
Going to a really good concert.
Winning a really competitive game.
Making chocolate chip cookies.
Helping a friend in need.
Making children laugh and smile
Holding hands with someone you care about.
Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never
change.

from you.

I faced one of my biggest fears last night!

Anyone that knows me knows that i am terrified of snakes.Well last night at Tinos' Birthday party Shane, a friend of ours, preformed his snake show....my friends "some how" did not mention this fact. Lately I have been trying not to turn down opportunities because of fear. So last night I faced my fear! I was really scared, but I did it and I'm glad I did. After I did this I felt like I accomplished something, and was proud that I did not let fear get in my way. Here are some pictures......
My reaction when they got out the snake

Squish, 140 pounds of scaley ickyness

I LOVE Ali's Face in this pic

Surgery Update

The surgery went really well! I was really nervous, but it was over and done with before i know it. The recovery has taken more time. For the first few days I could not even get out of bed...my whole face hurt. But now its down to only a mild head ache. I'm just thankful for drugs! With out them i would be in a world of hurt.

Monday, February 9, 2009

I just got back from the Dr.s and found out I have to have surgery Friday. My nasal passage is to small and thats why i have been so many Sinus infections. So Friday they are going to go in make the passageways bigger. I am not going to lie I'm really nervous...I have never had surgery before, hey while I'm out do you think they will do my boobs for half price?

Shooting

We went shooting this weekend with some family and friends. We had a blast!!! The only part i didn't like about it was that it was freaking cold! We were out there and most of us had frozen feet by the time we were done but it was worth it!

The Little Lake was frozen...so naturally us girls had to play on it...

You cant see it but i threw a computer we found off of there

The Homestead Crater

Last weekend a bunch of us went to the Homestead Crater. It was pretty much the coolest thing ever. Its a crater that's full of water.The water temperature is 96 degrees. The dive area is about 60 feet wide, with a depth 65 feet,and Visibility is around 40-50 feet. We did snorkeling and it was a blast! I normally hate swimming but i cant wait to go back to the Crater.

How many of these did you know about?

A sealed envelope - Put in the freezer for a few hours, then
slide a knife under the flap. The envelope can then be resealed.
(hmmmmmm…)

============================================
Use Empty toilet paper roll to store appliance cords. It keeps
them neat and you can write on the roll what appliance it belongs
to.

============================================
For icy door steps in freezing temperatures: get warm water and
put Dawn dish washing liquid in it. Pour it all over the steps. Theywon't refreeze. (wish I had known this for the last few years years!)

============================================
To remove old wax from a glass candle holder, put it in the
freezer for a few hours. Then take the candle holder out and turn it upside
down. The wax will fall out.

==================! ======== =======================
Crayon marks on walls? This worked wonderfully! A damp rag,
dipped in baking soda. Comes off with little effort (elbow grease
that is!).

============================================
Permanent marker on appliances/counter tops, rubbing alcohol on paper towel.

=============================================
Whenever I purchase a box of S.O.S Pads, I immediately take a
pair of scissors and cut each pad into halves. After years of having to
throw away rusted and unused and smelly pads, I finally decided that
this would be much more economical. Now a box of SO.S pads last me
indefinitely! In fact, I have noticed that the scissors get 'sharpened'' this
way!

=============================================
Blood stains on clothes? Not to worry! Just pour a little
hydrogen peroxide on a cloth and proceed to wipe off every drop of blood.
Works every time! (Now, where to put the body?) LOL

=============================================
Use vertical strokes when washing windows outside and horizontal
for inside windows. This way you can tell which side has the
streaks. Straight vinegar will get outside windows really clean. Don't wash windows
on a sunny day. They will dry too quickly and will probably
streak.

============================================
Spray a bit of perfume on the light bulb in any room to create a
lovely light scent in each room when the light is turned on.

============================================
Place fabric softener sheets in dresser drawers and your clothes
will smell freshly washed for weeks to come. You can also do this
with towels and linen.

=============================================
Candles will last a lot longer if placed in the freezer for at
least 3 hours prior to burning.

=============================================
To clean artificial flowers, pour some salt into a paper bag and
add the flowers. Shake vigorously as the salt will absorb all the dust
and dirt and leave your artificial flowers looking like new! Works like a
charm!

=============================================
To easily remove burnt on food from your skillet, simply add a
drop or two of dish soap and enough water to cover bottom of pan, and
bring to a boil on stove top.

==============================================
Spray your TUPPERWARE with nonstick cooking spray before pouring
in tomato based sauces and there won't be any stains.

=============================================
Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator
and it will keep for weeks.

=============================================
When boiling corn on the cob, add a pinch of sugar to help
bring out the corn's natural sweetness

=============================================
Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half, and rub it on
your forehead. The throbbing will go away.

=============================================
To get rid of itch from mosquito bites, try applying soap on the
area and you will experience instant relief.

=============================================
Ants, ants, ants ! everywhere … Well, they are said to never
cross a chalk line. So, get your chalk out and draw a line on the floor or
wherever ants tend to march. See for yourself.

============================================
Use air-freshener to clean mirrors. It does a good job and
better still,leaves a lovely smell to the shine.

============================================
When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before
resorting to tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape over the
splinter, and then pull it off. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly
and easily.

=====================================
Now look what you can do with Alka Seltzer……..
Clean a toilet.Drop in two Alka Seltzer tablets, wait twenty minutes, brush and
flush.The citric acid and effervescent action clean vitreous China.

============================================
Clean a vase.
To remove a stain from the bottom of a glass vase or cruet, fill
with water and drop in two Alka Seltzer tablets.

============================================
Polish jewelry.
Drop two Alka Seltzer tablets into a glass of water and immerse
the jewelry for two minutes.

=============================================
Clean a thermos bottle.
Fill the bottle with water, drop in four Alka Seltzer tablets,
and let soak for an hour (or longer, if necessary).

=============================================
Unclog a drain.
Clear the sink drain by dropping three Alka Seltzer tablets
down the drain followed by a cup of Heinz White Vinegar. Wait a few
minutes,and then run the hot water.

I hope these help you as much as they have helped me. :)

My Baby Sister had a Baby

Ok so the baby is almost one now...but better to post late then never lol. It was so exciting being at the hospital with my sister as she gave birth to her first child. It was a long delivery! We kept waiting and waiting...but that little girl just would not come. we kept our self entertained with movies and games and trying to take Laurens mind off of the painful contractions, we even ended up having a pizza part in the waiting room ( a lot of people were excited for this little girl to come!) At about 5am when we were sleeping in the waiting room my dad came in and informed us the they took my sister in to have an emergency c section. i was freaking out....thats my baby sister in there and there is nothing i could do to help her. I'm so thankful that my mom was there by my sisters side to support and watch over her. No one could have done a better job. A little while later i meet my baby nice, Olivia Carol Wagers. She was so small...so perfect. She is the perfect addition to our family and i am so happy i was apart of her birth.

My birthday Party

Thank You friends and family for throwing me a surprise party BBQ! And thank you Lauren, Kirsten and Phillip for being the distractions even though I got mad at you cause I wanted to leave Gardner Village and you would not let me....sorry lol
