T-Shirt Scarf

I love this! Super cute and super easy!

1. Cut your t-shirt from armpit to armpit lengthwise and dispose of the top part of your t-shirt (the part with the sleeves).
2. Take your tube (the body part of the t-shirt) and cut the bottom hem off so you’re left with a tube that has two un-hemmed edges.(keep the hem, you will use it to tie all the strips together)
3. Cut 3/4″ to 1″ wide strips from one looped end to the other
4. Once you have all your strips cut pull on each length to stretch them out and get them to curl.
5. Gather all of your strips together so you have them all together in a loop
6. Tie the strips together using the bottom hem

Voila! Wear it long or double it. Fun fun fun!!!

Thespecial needs Halloween dance!!

What a night! We had so much fun at this years special needs dance! Our special needs friends really know how to boogie! My favorite part of the night was seeing my girls get so excited when the boys asked them to dance. It was so great! The lighting was really bad so my pictures didn't turn out very good. And you probably can't tell but I am a Pink Lady from Grease :)

I love Haunted Houses

I don't know what it is about them but I love them! Maybe because you get to be scared but you know that you are safe and nothing really bad will happen. We got a 3 haunted house pass. All three were really good but my favorite was the 3D Carnival of Chaos! It was crazy! I ended up running threw most of it! I can't wait until next year so we go to some more!

Caramel apple party!

There is no snack that goes better with fall then caramel apples!!! My super cute friend Kimm had a caramel apple making party. I learned that it is a lot harder that it looks! My apple didn't look very good but it tasted great!

I love fall!

I love Fall! I love the beautiful colors of the leaves changing! After Church Austin and I went on a walk around Silver Lake. It was gorgeous!

The Bees game!

For FHE went went to the Bees baseball game. I am not really into baseball but it was fun spending time with my friends. Oh and we got free super cute jerseys!

Trek

In July I had the opportunity to go on Trek. For thous of you who don't know what that is, it is a journey for 4 days and 3 nights, in Wyoming. You push a handcart. They weigh about 400 pounds... with all of your stuff on them about 700 pounds. You dress up as pioneers. You sleep on the ground with a tarp. You walk...and walk...and walk...and then you walk some more. They split you up into families. In my family I had a Ma and Pa and 11 brothers and sisters that I came to love. We went threw a lot together! The days we hot and long and the nights were wet and cold. Our feet were blistered and bleeding. As we walked I had a lot of time to think. I thought a lot about the Atonement. All the pain that I felt doing the woman's pull then walking another 6 miles with heat stroke then our had carts got lost and having to turn around and walk some more. It made me think that all the pain and sickness I was feeling at that moment Jesus Christ has felt for me. All the sins I have committed Jesus Christ has atoned from me. I have not always put my trust in the lord, but during that time I did. I knew that If i just kept going my heavenly father would get me back to camp. I know with all my heart the Lord helped my that day and I realized that he wants to help me in all aspects of my life...I just have to let him. He knows me. He knows my pain. He understands perfectly the trials I have been threw. He lives. Trek helped my become closer to the Lord. I also was able to make great friends and have great memories, like walking with my family for 2 miles barefoot. Every time I here the Hymn "Come, Come, ye Saints" I will think of the amazing experiences I had on Trek.

Into the Light

It has been two years sense I have been on here. After my divorce I feel to pieces. But now after two years those pieces have been put back together. I really didn't think I would ever make it out of the dark and back into the light, but with the help of my friends, family and most of all my savior Jesus Christ I am whole again. Today I was finally able to go threw my blog and delete a lot of memories from that old life. For the first time I'm looking forward to making new memories. Cheers to new beginnings!
